Facility & Rentals

"Finally, after raising $6.5 million locally and through grants, we were able to open this huge facility to house all of our donated food designated for Imperial County," Sara Griffen, executive director of Imperial Valley Food Bank said during the facility's grand opening.

The Imperial Valley Food Bank held its grand opening for the nonprofit's newest Imperial facility on Saturday, October 19, 2019. Since then, we've been able to more than double the amount of food we can distribute to our friends and neighbors. Named Rabobank Center, the new facility is 28,000 square feet, has interior refrigeration and freezer space, loading docks, a teaching kitchen, meeting room and an outdoor amphitheater, which we hope creates sustainable rental income for IVFB operations.
