Planned Giving

Retirement plans

Money from an individual retirement account (IRA) can be donated to charity. If you’ve reached the age where you need to take required minimum distributions (RMDs) from your traditional IRAs, you can avoid income tax on your required withdrawal by donating your money directly to the Imperial Valley Food Bank.

Bequest by Will

Including a charitable bequest in your will is a simple way to make a lasting gift to the Imperial Valley Food Bank and your community.

Life Insurance

You can designate the Imperial Valley Food Bank as the primary or secondary beneficiary of either 100% or some percentage of the proceeds from your policy.
